Peter Kinyanjui has transformed security intelligence through SGA Security Updates, providing timely, actionable alerts that help individuals and organisations across Kenya navigate emerging threats and protect their operations. The judges highlighted his successful shift to an intelligence-led strategy, its clear impact on clients nationwide, and his strength as a well-rounded security leader. 

Outstanding Security Officer 
Javas Macharia – American Tower Corporation – Kenya 

Javas Macharia has demonstrated exceptional leadership in protecting Kenya’s critical telecommunications infrastructure through intelligence-led security, proactive risk management and strong community partnerships. His entry stood out for its strong results, innovative community intelligence model, guard optimisation and significant contribution to protecting vital national infrastructure.

SGA Security Updates – Peter Kinyanjui 

SGA Security Updates has democratised access to timely security intelligence in Kenya, providing practical alerts that help businesses, organisations and the public make informed decisions and stay safe. Its practical, accessible approach impressed the judges, who recognised the value of delivering timely security insights that support business continuity and informed decision-making. 

Outstanding Female Security Professional 
Speranza Kubai – Lady Askari 

Speranza Kubai is an emerging security leader, championing professionalism, inclusion and excellence while supporting the development of women and young professionals across the industry. The judges recognised her strong contribution to mentorship, professional development and advancing women in security. 

Outstanding Young Security Professional 
Sarah Brenda Njeri – Co-operative Bank of Kenya 

Sarah Brenda Njeri is an exceptional emerging security leader, combining fraud prevention, security governance and investigations with a strong commitment to youth leadership, mentorship and community impact. Her rapid professional growth and dedication to developing others stood out to the judges, alongside her impressive academic achievements and professional engagement. 

Lifetime Achievement 
Monicah Ndanu Kimeu 

For nearly two decades, Monicah has redefined leadership in security. She founded Women In Safety Excellence (WISE), co-founded the Protective and Safety Association of Kenya, and shaped national training curricula for PSRA, TVET CDACC and the National Industrial Training Authority. Today she vice-chairs the Private Security Regulatory Authority Technical Committee on Kenya’s draft of Private Security Regulations. From convening Kenya’s First Lady and Prime Cabinet Secretary at WISE galas, to representing Kenya at GSX Dallas, Chicago and New Orleans, she has made women’s safety a defining security imperative.
