Brigadier General (Rtd) Ahamed Mohamed CPP

Brigadier General Ahamed Mohammed has served as a career military officer in the Kenya Defence Forces for 37 years. His is an expert in national security and security management.

He served with the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) in the Former Yugoslavia as a Deputy Senior Military Observer. He was Defence Adviser, Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations, New York between 2001 to 2004. He later served as the Director (CEO), Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi, where he successfully led the Hospital to ISO Certification in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, Brig Gen Mohammed served as Chief of Staff, Office of Military Affairs, Department of Peacekeeping Operations, United Nations Headquarters, New York. He was the founder Chairman of the Kenya-UN Club in New York.

He is a graduate of Kings College, University of London and the University of Nairobi with a Masters of Arts degrees in Defense Studies and International Studies. He is a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management and his national awards and decorations include the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS). He is a member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) and is Founding and Immediate past chairman of ASIS Kenya and ASIS International ARVP (Assistant Regional Vice President) Eastern and Southern Africa.

Purity Kinanu, CPP

Purity Kinanu, CPP is a seasoned Corporate Security Professional with over 13 years industry experience. She has worked in various roles at G4S Kenya as a Sales Manager responsible for revenue growth and retention targets and as Learning and Development Manager responsible for developing and implementing a learning and development strategy aligned to organizational and industry goals. 

She is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International), a Governing Council Member and Chairlady for Programs and Partnerships Committee at Women In Safety Excellence (WISE); a governing council member at ASIS Women in Security (WIS) – Kenya Chapter and an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD, UK). In WIS and WISE associations she voluntarily supports women in security with personal development and career progression. 

Purity is board certified in security management having attained her CPP certification from ASIS International. She is a trained teacher with a degree in education from Moi University and also holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. Purity is a Certified Professional Trainer with several post graduate professional qualifications in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) respectively.

Cosmas Mutava

Cosmas Mutava

Cosmas Mutava is the managing director of Marco security limited with over 20 years’ experience in security management, risk management and various roles in leadership ,

 Cosmas is the chairman of Protective Security Industry Association (PSIA), a board member of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) in the Security sector board,a board member of Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE).He is also the chairman Makueni county Professionals Forum (MCPF)

He is a graduate of Management University of Africa (MUA) and attained an Executive Master of Business Administration and he holds various Certificate courses in: courter Terrorism, Fire prevention Safety Awareness, formalizing the informal sector in Kenya certificate from International Labour Organization (ILO) and school board leadership in the country among other leadership credentials.

Munene M. Mugambi

A trained paramilitary Police Officer practitioner and a Criminal Investigations Detective and administrator. Currently serving as an administrator/manager on Police oversight duties.

The concept initiator and founding Chairman of Criminology organizations in East Africa, PCAK & KEPSOC. Concept initiator and Founding Patron the youth Criminologists Association in East Africa.  Holder of Msc.in Governance, Peace & Security Studies. BA. Criminology & Security Studies and Diploma Forensic Criminology.

Charles Oloo

Charles is the Managing Director of Burton Consortium limited is a seasoned Security practitioner who has been in security for over 25 years. Charles is CPP certified and remarkable enterprise Security professional whose previous job was Head of Security at Stanbic Bank responsible for Managing Security and Investigation within the bank handling Security duties in Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia and providing support to Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. He has a wealth of experience spanning over twenty-five years in the region across several sectors in security landscape. As Head of Security and Safety at Stanbic Bank, he was responsible for Organizational Strategic planning, Enterprise Risk Management, establishment and execution of Security and OHS Programs, delivery of superior Customer Experience and continuous Improvement Frameworks.

Continuing PhD student in Security Studies, a holder of MSc in Security and Governance from Africa Nazarene University, Bachelor of Sociology and Psychology from University of Nairobi, Diploma in Criminology, University of Nairobi, Advance Diploma in Business Management (ABE Certified), BTech Level 4 in Security coordination and Management, artisan certificate in electrical installation National Youth Service Engineering Institute, Surveillance Systems training at Dallmeier Training Centre Germany. He also studied for a Master of Arts degree in Security Management at Egerton University and is yet to graduate. Certificate in leadership coaching from Monash University. He is a member of American Society of Industrial Security ASIS, Founding and immediate past Secretary General – ASIS Kenya Chapter, and is Certified Protection professional certification, a member of Kenya Professional Society of Criminology (KEPSOC), a member Protective and Safety Association of Kenya (PROSAK)

 

Chris Otieno

Chris O Otieno is a Holder Of Masters Degree In Security & Risk Management (UK), A Bachelor’s Degree In Security Management (UK), A Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (KEN-JKUAT), A certified Security & Risk Management Professional (ISMI-UK), IOSH (UK), NEBOSH (UK) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (KEN).

Chris is the Director Of Partnerships & Resource Mobilization at KEPSOC (Kenya Professional Society Of Criminologists), a fellow at ISMI, a member at: KEPSOC, ASCIMP, EASMA & PROSAK.

Chris is a Security Expert of/with 25 years of continuous solid work experience with exemplary performance in:
Security Management: – (Corporate Security, Asset Protection, Intellectual& Property Protection),
Security Strategy & Execution: – (Strategic Countermeasures Planning, Vulnerability & Risk Assessment, Organization Resilience build-up) &
Executive Oversight: – (Management Budgeting & Cost Management Mentoring, ICT & HR Solutions).
