Brigadier General (Rtd) Ahamed Mohamed CPP
Brigadier General Ahamed Mohammed has served as a career military officer in the Kenya Defence Forces for 37 years. His is an expert in national security and security management.
He served with the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) in the Former Yugoslavia as a Deputy Senior Military Observer. He was Defence Adviser, Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations, New York between 2001 to 2004. He later served as the Director (CEO), Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi, where he successfully led the Hospital to ISO Certification in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, Brig Gen Mohammed served as Chief of Staff, Office of Military Affairs, Department of Peacekeeping Operations, United Nations Headquarters, New York. He was the founder Chairman of the Kenya-UN Club in New York.
He is a graduate of Kings College, University of London and the University of Nairobi with a Masters of Arts degrees in Defense Studies and International Studies. He is a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management and his national awards and decorations include the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS). He is a member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) and is the Chairman of the Kenya Chapter.
Charles is the Managing Director of Burton Consortium limited is a seasoned Security practitioner who has been in security for over 25 years. Charles is CPP certified and remarkable enterprise Security professional whose previous job was Head of Security at Stanbic Bank responsible for Managing Security and Investigation within the bank handling Security duties in Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia and providing support to Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. He has a wealth of experience spanning over twenty-five years in the region across several sectors in security landscape. As Head of Security and Safety at Stanbic Bank, he was responsible for Organizational Strategic planning, Enterprise Risk Management, establishment and execution of Security and OHS Programs, delivery of superior Customer Experience and continuous Improvement Frameworks.
Continuing PhD student in Security Studies, a holder of MSc in Security and Governance from Africa Nazarene University, Bachelor of Sociology and Psychology from University of Nairobi, Diploma in Criminology, University of Nairobi, Advance Diploma in Business Management (ABE Certified), BTech Level 4 in Security coordination and Management, artisan certificate in electrical installation National Youth Service Engineering Institute, Surveillance Systems training at Dallmeier Training Centre Germany. He also studied for a Master of Arts degree in Security Management at Egerton University and is yet to graduate. Certificate in leadership coaching from Monash University. He is a member of American Society of Industrial Security ASIS, Secretary General ASIS Kenya Chapter and is Certified Protection professional certification, a member of Kenya Professional Society of Criminology (KEPSOC), a member Protective and Safety Association of Kenya (PROSAK)
Kenwilliams Nyakomitah is the Director of events at Professional Criminologists Association of Kenya (PCAK), Served as a Military Police Officer at Kenya Defence (KDF) for over 8 years with hands on experience in human security, investigation and intelligent management, he has also served as United Nations Investigations Officer in Darfur-Sudan, Daystar University as Security Coordinator and currently at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation as the Head of Security.
Kenwilliams Nyakomitah has a Master’s Degree in Security Management (ip), a Degree in Security and Disaster management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Post Graduate diploma in Forensic and Criminal Investigation and Certification courses in: Global Terrorism, Fire prevention and Safety Awareness from POTI (U.S.A) and Fraud Investigation and Prevention (KSG).
