Monicah Kimeu

Monicah Kimeu has over 12 years’ experience in training and development with a bias to security management, crime prevention, risk and emergency management, counseling and communication. She has extensive knowledge in security training and related disciplines most especially, curriculum development as well as running and evaluating security programs in various levels. Her experience includes a number of executive levels, senior management positions in the private security industry. Ms. Kimeu is a superior facilitator for cross-functional organizational structures and management deliverables. She is a Trainer, Curriculum Developer and a charismatic Speaker.

Ms. Kimeu is the Secretary General of Women in Safety Excellence (WISE), a women in security association and she is also the Deputy Secretary General for the Protective and Safety Association in Kenya (PROSAK), a professional security association that brings together security stakeholders both in government and the private sector at an individual and corporate level.

Throughout her career, Ms. Kimeu has successfully transformed over 10,000 security men and women into professionals and is proud to be part of the transformative security reforms being experienced in Kenya today.

 

Captain (Rtd) Augustine Lokwang Ekitela

Captain (Rtd) Augustine Ekitela Lokwang is currently the Secretary General of the Association of Corporate and Industrial Security Management Professionals of Kenya (ACISMP-K) and a Senior Advisor for Security, Peace and Borderlands Initiative in Turkana County Government. He is a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP), Alumni of the International Security Management Institute, UK and a Senior Security Risk Consultant with over six years corporate consulting experience.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Military Science (Egerton University), a diploma in International Security (Galilee International Management Institute of Israel) and level 6 international diploma from the International Security Management Institute (ISMI-UK). He served in the Kenya Defense Forces for 11 years on; command, intelligence, training, personnel, administrative and operations portfolios and worked in the multi-national and multi-cultural environment operated by the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

He was a Field Security Advisor in the Tullow Oil project and also served as a Project Coordinator for a Conflict and Public Security Risk Projects of Danish Demining Group. He is a Director of Warrant Africa Consultants Limited, Idar Group Security Services Limited and ATEKER Research Center Limited.

He has co-published the works with established academics both in Kenya and overseas and has participated in Security Risk Assessment and Resilience Programme as well as training projects as the lead consultant with some of the consulting he has delivered for clients in Kenya and the region. He also also holds several other portfolios in national programmes and projects

 

Brigadier General (Rtd) Ahamed Mohamed CPP

Brigadier General (Rtd) Ahamed Mohamed CPP

Brigadier General Ahamed Mohammed has served as a career military officer in the Kenya Defence Forces for 37 years. His is an expert in national security and security management.

He served with the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) in the Former Yugoslavia as a Deputy Senior Military Observer. He was Defence Adviser, Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations, New York between 2001 to 2004. He later served as the Director (CEO), Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi, where he successfully led the Hospital to ISO Certification in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, Brig Gen Mohammed served as Chief of Staff, Office of Military Affairs, Department of Peacekeeping Operations, United Nations Headquarters, New York. He was the founder Chairman of the Kenya-UN Club in New York.

He is a graduate of Kings College, University of London and the University of Nairobi with a Masters of Arts degrees in Defense Studies and International Studies. He is a Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management and his national awards and decorations include the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS). He is a member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) and is the Chairman of the Kenya Chapter.

 

Cosmas Mutava

Cosmas Mutava is the managing director of Marco security limited with over 20 years’ experience in security management, risk management and various roles in leadership ,

Cosmas is the chairman of Protective Security Industry Association (PSIA), a board member of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) in the Security sector board,a board member of Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE).He is also the chairman Makueni county Professionals Forum (MCPF)

He is a graduate of Management University of Africa (MUA) and attained an Executive Master of Business Administration and he holds various Certificate courses in: courter Terrorism, Fire prevention Safety Awareness, formalizing the informal sector in Kenya certificate from International Labour Organization (ILO) and school board leadership in the country among other leadership credentials.

 

Kenwilliams Nyakomitah

Kenwilliams Nyakomitah is the Director of events at Professional Criminologists Association of Kenya (PCAK), Served as a Military Police Officer at Kenya Defence (KDF) for over 8 years with hands on experience in human security, investigation and intelligent management, he has also served as United Nations Investigations Officer in Darfur-Sudan, Daystar University as Security Coordinator and currently at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation as the Head of Security.

Kenwilliams Nyakomitah has a Master’s Degree in Security Management (ip), a Degree in Security and Disaster management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Post Graduate diploma in Forensic and Criminal Investigation and Certification courses in: Global Terrorism, Fire prevention and Safety Awareness from POTI (U.S.A) and Fraud Investigation and Prevention (KSG).

 

Lt Col (Rtd) Mathews Odongo Waria

Lt Col (Rtd) Mathews Odongo Waria

A holder of Master of Science in Governance, Peace and Security from Africa Nazarene University, Lt Col (Rtd) Mathews Odongo Waria ‘psc’ (K) is highly skilled security Manager with superior training in general military operations, defensive combat, civilian protection, and interaction with hostiles. With experience spanning over two decades on both national and international assignment with relatively high military exposure, Lt. Col. Mathews is an embodiment of unique set of skills fit for whichever security assignment including detection and intelligence gathering or surveillance.

He has a wealth of experience in military leadership, operations, logistics, training, negotiations, administration, communications and coordination.

Currently serving as Head of corporate safety and security for Pevans East Africa (Sportpesa) based at the Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, a successful sports and entertainment company that has been prided with organizing some of the most successful sporting activities in the region i.e. football and boxing of international levels in the country/region.

He is the Director and lead consultant at Sentinel Protection Services Limited a security company that offers an array of consultancy and security provision services to corporates and individuals.

 

Charles Oloo

Charles is the Managing Director of Burton Consortium limited is a seasoned Security practitioner who has been in security for over 25 years. Charles is CPP certified and remarkable enterprise Security professional whose previous job was Head of Security at Stanbic Bank responsible for Managing Security and Investigation within the bank handling Security duties in Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia and providing support to Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. He has a wealth of experience spanning over twenty-five years in the region across several sectors in security landscape. As Head of Security and Safety at Stanbic Bank, he was responsible for Organizational Strategic planning, Enterprise Risk Management, establishment and execution of Security and OHS Programs, delivery of superior Customer Experience and continuous Improvement Frameworks.

Continuing PhD student in Security Studies, a holder of MSc in Security and Governance from Africa Nazarene University, Bachelor of Sociology and Psychology from University of Nairobi, Diploma in Criminology, University of Nairobi, Advance Diploma in Business Management (ABE Certified), BTech Level 4 in Security coordination and Management, artisan certificate in electrical installation National Youth Service Engineering Institute, Surveillance Systems training at Dallmeier Training Centre Germany. He also studied for a Master of Arts degree in Security Management at Egerton University and is yet to graduate. Certificate in leadership coaching from Monash University. He is a member of American Society of Industrial Security ASIS, Secretary General ASIS Kenya Chapter and is Certified Protection professional certification, a member of Kenya Professional Society of Criminology (KEPSOC), a member Protective and Safety Association of Kenya (PROSAK)

Chris O Otieno is a Holder Of Masters Degree In Security & Risk Management (UK), A Bachelor’s Degree In Security Management (UK), A Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences (KEN-JKUAT), A certified Security & Risk Management Professional (ISMI-UK), IOSH (UK), NEBOSH (UK) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (KEN).

Chris is the Director Of Partnerships & Resource Mobilization at KEPSOC (Kenya Professional Society Of Criminologists), a fellow at ISMI, a member at: KEPSOC, ASCIMP, EASMA & PROSAK.
