Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director 
Kingsley Litali – Crime Shield Security 

Kingsley Litali is a seasoned security professional and former military police officer with over 14 years of experience in private security consulting, operations, and risk leadership. His background in the armed forces, including specialist training as a HAZMAT technician, laid the foundation for his disciplined and tactical approach to safety. As the Founder of CrimeShield Security, he has introduced groundbreaking initiatives such as the Medical Heist Audit for healthcare facilities and the CrimeShield Podcast, which raises public awareness on evolving security threats. Kingsley has led major incident-free operations and continues to set new standards in East Africa’s security sector. 

Judges commended Kingsley’s leadership and innovative approach, highlighting his role in driving technology adoption and delivering impactful results across diverse client industries. His strategic direction and team leadership have been instrumental in advancing CrimeShield Security’s vision into its next phase. 

Outstanding Security Officer 
Jennifer Mwethya Muema – Kenya Prison Service 

Jennifer Mwethya Muema has demonstrated exceptional leadership in security and corrections under demanding mission conditions while upholding the UN Code of Conduct. In Western Equatoria, her advocacy improved detention conditions, secured medical supplies, enabled juvenile releases, and expanded vocational training. Through the Green Corrections Initiative, she enhanced food security and introduced replicable farming skills. Her analytical reports informed UN decision-making, while community outreach, including Nelson Mandela Day, fostered restorative justice and partnerships. At Kenya Prisons Service, she advanced strategic communications, gender inclusion, and mental health advocacy. Globally recognised, Jennifer embodies reform-driven leadership that strengthens institutions and builds community trust. 

Judges recognised Jennifer’s exceptional impact beyond traditional security roles, noting her influential contributions to corrections reform, international collaboration, gender advocacy, and legal frameworks, all demonstrating a powerful blend of strategic influence and cross-sector engagement. 

Outstanding New Security Product 
The Crimeshield Podcast – Crimeshield Security 

The Crimeshield Podcast, a weekly YouTube series and 2024 OSPAs finalist, educates and empowers communities on safety and security. Targeting the public, professionals, and policymakers, it reduces crime and influences policy, notably sparking hospital security reforms in Kenya. Its innovative format, featuring expert guests, restores hope in the security industry. With subscriber growth from 5,000 to 11,000, episodes like Nairobi’s situational awareness inspire action. Covering cybersecurity, personal safety, and crime prevention, Crimeshield’s regional focus and plans for new formats ensure lasting impact. Its transformative contributions make it a deserving candidate for the OSPAs Outstanding New Security Product award. 

Judges highlighted The Crimeshield Podcast as a standout innovation in public security education, noting its effective use of podcasting to bridge academic, policy, and community spheres. With clear evidence of policy influence, audience growth, and behaviour change—such as improved hospital security—the platform was praised for fostering dialogue, raising industry standards, and making complex security topics accessible and locally relevant across East Africa. 

Outstanding Female Security Professional 
Sicily Muthoni Gatiti, CPP, PCI, PSP, CP – National Police Leadership Academy

Sicily is a Commissioner of Police and Dean of Studies at the National Police Leadership Academy. She trained 20 students on ASIS International certifications (CPP and PCI) between May and July 2025, and 356 police officers on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence from January to March 2025. She also trained 25 TOTs on SGBV, 25 Youth Liaison Officers, 18 Station Commanders, 159 County Commanders, 364 Subcounty Commanders, and 62 County Traffic Enforcement officers between 2024 and 2025. She organised and moderated the Sub-Saharan Africa Security Conference (SASCON) in July 2024, and developed gender-based scenarios for the EAPCCO FTX in Tanzania in April 2024. In January 2024, she motivated 800 youths in Kiambere Ward. 

Sicily is the second woman in Kenya to earn triple ASIS International certification and was the 2024 winner of the Your Excellency Year Awards in the Government category. 

Outstanding Young Security Professional 
Speranza Kubai – Lady Askari 

As the youngest member of the ASIS Women Governing Council, Speranza lead with courage, innovation, and impact. Aside from excelling in the security industry, Speranza has expanded their skills to organising safety-focused community visits with the Kenya Women and Children Wellness center and hopes to partner with other organisations in the future. She spoke at major forums, including the Nairobi Security Expo and Lady Askari webinars. Speranza mentors young women through the Women in Safety Excellence association and advocates for diversity and inclusion on major platforms. A previous OSPAs finalist, she continues to grow, combining intelligence, operations, and leadership to drive meaningful change in the evolving security landscape. 
 
Lifetime Achievement 
James Nicholl 

James is a distinguished leader with over 23 years of experience in military and commercial security, known for his outstanding service and innovative leadership. As the Managing Director of Tribus-TSG, James has driven the organisation to the forefront of its industry, setting new standards in security services and social impact. James’ dedication to his craft and his exceptional contributions to the industry have earned him recognition in the IFSEC Global Top 10 Influencers in Security & Fire 2020 and 2021, making him a transformative figure in security and beyond. 

Judges praised James for his diverse experience and impactful contributions to the security industry, particularly his efforts to enhance safety for people with disabilities. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation and meaningful change across multiple areas of the sector.
